The Newman ushers in elegance with its 2024 debut in Fitzrovia

The Newman, the inaugural hotel from Kinsfolk & Co, is set to open in 2024 on Newman Street in Fitzrovia, London. This new destination is the product of a collaboration among experienced hoteliers and restaurateurs known for their work on acclaimed projects like The Standard, The Beaumont, and The Goring. The hotel will feature 81 rooms and suites, a European brasserie and cocktail bar, and a wellness floor.

Designed by Pernille Lind and Richy Almond of Lind + Almond, The Newman’s decor is inspired by local icons like Nancy Cunard, Fitzrovia’s bohemian queen. This influence is subtly reflected in the hotel’s design elements, including bangles and polka dots. The guestrooms, suites, and apartments, some with private balconies, are styled in a contemporary Art Deco aesthetic. The hotel’s rooftop includes a signature suite with a private terrace, which can be transformed into an exclusive four-bedroom suite.

The Newman’s dining experience is centred around a modern European brasserie that seats 120 guests, is filled with natural light and features a separate street entrance, outdoor terrace, and a menu focusing on seasonal British ingredients. The cocktail bar located on the lower ground floor complements this with small plates, handcrafted cocktails, and craft beers, alongside two private dining rooms.

The wellness floor of The Newman is a dedication to Nordic simplicity, featuring hot and cold experience cabins, an active salt therapy room, and a hydrotherapy pool. This luxurious spa caters to both residents and locals, offering treatment rooms and fitness services such as yoga, personal training, a meditation studio, and a gymnasium.
