Maybourne Hotel Group is gearing up for the grand opening of its latest endeavour, The Emory. Nestled in London’s esteemed Knightsbridge district, The Emory is a grand addition to the city’s luxury accommodations but a standout marvel designed by the late architectural luminary Richard Rogers and Ivan Harbour of the renowned RSHP firm. This significant new building distinguishes itself with an architecturally bold ‘sails’ structure, seamlessly integrating into the landscape above the verdant expanse of Hyde Park.

“The floor-to-ceiling windows capture a framed image of the city—forming a close encounter with Belgravia outside, and enveloping the apartment in London’s urban landscape. The suites really embrace Hyde Park, which gives us our palette of colours – the seasonal, ever-changed tones of sage and olive green, the lush pinks, the rare golden colour of the sky in London,” said interior architect Andre Fu.

Upon stepping into The Emory via the Old Barrack Yard entrance, guests will be ushered into an environment that redefines luxury. The hotel boasts 60 suites spread over nine floors, each adorned by a unique tapestry of designs from an array of celebrated interior designers such as André Fu, Pierre-Yves Rochon, Rémi Tessier, Patricia Urquiola, and Champalimaud Design. This eclectic mix of talents ensures a varied yet consistently luxurious experience across all accommodations.

The culinary experience at The Emory is anchored by Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s restaurant, abc kitchens. This eagerly anticipated dining venue brings the celebrated chef’s acclaimed abc brand to the UK for the first time. Situated with a glass facade that provides stunning views of Hyde Park and Kensington, abc kitchens promises a vibrant and approachable menu that draws inspiration from Jean-Georges’ New York establishments—abc kitchen, abcV, and abc cocina—offering a fusion of exceptional contemporary dishes.

Adjacent to the restaurant, The Emory Bar awaits, set to become a central hub for guests seeking cocktails, coffee, and select dishes from abc kitchens. The bar’s design, inspired by mid-century aesthetics, is complemented by a warm, inviting colour palette and flows into the Courtyard, where guests can enjoy the ambience framed by a stunning stained glass piece by the acclaimed artist Brian Clarke.

An exclusive feature of The Emory is its private guest-only rooftop space, which offers unparalleled access to Bar 33 and The Emory Cigar Merchants, providing a secluded haven with sweeping views across the city. Complementing these amenities are comprehensive guest services including return car transfers from London’s private airfields and international airports, emphasizing the seamless luxury that The Emory promises from arrival to departure.

Among the standout facilities at The Emory is the Surrenne wellness club, a subterranean oasis spanning four floors below ground level. Here, guests will find a 22-metre swimming pool among a host of wellness amenities designed to offer a sanctuary of relaxation and rejuvenation.

The Emory’s location is a gateway to the cultural riches of London, with easy access to museums, parks, historic architecture, and the city’s vibrant art scene. Guests can immerse themselves in the myriad cultural highlights just a short walk from the hotel, making it an ideal base for exploring London’s diverse attractions.

The Emory is poised to join Maybourne Hotel Group’s prestigious portfolio of properties, including the iconic Claridge’s, The Connaught, and The Berkeley in London, as well as The Maybourne Beverly Hills in the US and The Maybourne Riviera in France. With a legacy of luxury and an eye towards the future of hospitality, The Emory is set to redefine the luxury hotel landscape in London.
