Automobili Lamborghini commemorates its 60th anniversary with a striking fusion of art and automotive innovation, unveiling a one-of-a-kind Revuelto ‘Opera Unica’ during Art Basel Miami Beach 2023. This masterpiece represents a highly customized iteration of Lamborghini’s first V12 hybrid plug-in HPEV (High-Performance Electrified Vehicle). The ‘Opera Unica’ is a creative endeavour brought to life by the artistic vision of Centro Stile, executed under the guidance of Lamborghini’s Ad Personam team.

The Revuelto, launched earlier this year, has set new standards in performance, sportiness, and driving pleasure with its groundbreaking architecture. It boasts innovative design, maximum-efficiency aerodynamics, a new carbon frame concept, and an impressive 1,001 horsepower, ensuring agility and effectiveness on both road and track.

“We wanted to create something purely artistic using brushes and a combination of colors, as if the Revuelto was a canvas. That is what fueled our inspiration for this special livery,” said Mitja Borkert, Automobili Lamborghini’s Design Director. “With the dynamic hand-painted exterior we really emphasize the aerodynamics and speed of the car.”

Lamborghini has always been a frontrunner in colour innovation. The ‘Opera Unica’ Revuelto features a meticulously hand-painted exterior transitioning from Viola Pasifae to Nero Helene, enriched with brushstroke details in warm and cool colours. This intricate paintwork demanded 76 hours of development and testing, culminating in a total of 435 hours to complete. A discreet 60th-anniversary logo adorns the bonnet, adding a touch of exclusivity.

The interior of the Revuelto ‘Opera Unica’ mirrors its exterior’s artistic flair, showcasing an asymmetric design crafted through playful colour contrasts. The creation of this unique interior took an additional 220 hours. It features a two-tone leather interior in Nero Ade and Viola Acutus, with seat backrests, door inserts, and headliners embroidered with the 60th-anniversary logo in matching warm and cool tones. The start and stop covers are also accentuated with the exterior’s shaded brushstroke colours, further unifying the car’s design.

Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Automobili Lamborghini, highlights the significance of unveiling the Revuelto ‘Opera Unica’ in the U.S., particularly during Art Basel Miami Beach, as the country represents the company’s top global market.

“Being the fastest, most technologically advanced and customizable Lamborghini in history, the Revuelto has seen a tremendously positive response from customers globally. The iconic V12 plays an integral part in Lamborghini’s history and with this ‘Opera Unica’ we have truly explored the possibilities of our Ad Personam personalization, thus creating an automotive masterpiece,” said Winkelmann.

This bespoke Revuelto ‘Opera Unica’ was showcased at a launch event in Miami Beach, alongside a selection of artworks commissioned by Automobili Lamborghini America dealers to celebrate the brand’s 60-year legacy.
