Mercedes-Benz is elevating the stature of its performance off-roader with the Mercedes-AMG G 63 “Grand Edition.” Part of the legendary off-road family since 2002, this special model, limited to just 1,000 units, showcases its exceptional status. Adorned with a MANUFAKTUR night black magno paint job, gold-coloured accents offer an eye-catching contrast, underlining the design elements that tie this contemporary off-road icon to the original G model from 1979.
In a debut appearance, the “Grand Edition” features the AMG logo and Mercedes star in kalaharigold magno. The performance brand’s Affalterbach emblem is also displayed on the bonnet, in the same striking colour. Similarly coloured inlays in the front and rear bumpers, front optical underride protection, the Mercedes star in the spare wheel inlay, and the spare wheel ring create a cohesive aesthetic.

The striking special model is equipped with 22-inch AMG forged wheels, featuring a cross-spoke design in tech gold. A matte black central locking nut and a Mercedes star in tech gold add to its appeal. This colour scheme extends to the side foiling of the “Grand Edition”. The vehicle also comes with a customised AMG Indoor Car Cover, designed with a breathable, tear-resistant synthetic fibre fabric exterior and an anti-static flannel inner layer to shield the car from dust and scratches in the garage.
The Mercedes-AMG G 63 “Grand Edition” interior also follows the contrasting black and gold theme. Upon entry, passengers are welcomed by “AMG” emblems on the black door sill trims with illuminated borders. The seats are clad in G Manufaktur black nappa leather featuring contrasting gold stitching, with plaques carrying a gold AMG logo and gold edging incorporated into the backrests.
The floor mats maintain the black and gold theme, with gold stitching adding a touch of opulence. Nappa leather-finished roof grab handles, along with a trim piece in the inlay of the passenger side grab handle made of carbon with copper thread, carry a high-quality badge reading “Grand Edition”. Other interior trim components also feature carbon with copper thread. The AMG Performance steering wheel in DINAMICA microfibre sports a steering wheel clasp with a G 63 plaque.
