Six Senses Xala Branded Residences are coming to Mexico’s Pacific Coast

Six Senses Xala, part of the IHG Hotels & Resorts luxury portfolio, is a collaboration with Activos Turisticos de Mexico (ACTUR) and embodies a blend of sanctuary and community. Located in the Costalegre region of Jalisco, known as the “Cheerful Coast,” the 3,000-acre site boasts five miles of white-sand beach, mango fields, coconut palms, and the tranquil Xola-Paramán estuary.
Six Senses Xala aims to provide guests with a chance to disconnect and reconnect, nestled within a lush landscape yet conveniently close to the new Chalacatepec International Airport. The destination offers various experiences, from surfing Pacific waves at sunrise to relaxing afternoons in the estuary and evenings enjoying farm-to-fork delicacies at the beach club.

The resort will feature 51 accommodations, each with a private pool, including beachfront and elevated guest rooms, suites, and villas. The architecture, a blend of village-like design and wild landscape, aims for low impact and integrates quirky touches and artistic elements from the Costalegre region.
Additionally, 25 branded residences, offering four and five bedrooms, will be part of Six Senses Xala. These residences provide privacy and uninterrupted beach views, along with access to the community’s amenities and services.
Six Senses Xala is committed to environmental stewardship, working with the local community to protect and revitalize the region’s natural resources. This includes reforestation, coastal protection for marine habitats, and supporting local sea turtle populations. Infrastructure improvements, such as renewable energy and water management, will also benefit local families and farms.
The resort’s holistic approach to wellness includes a range of indoor and outdoor fitness options, the Six Senses Spa for treatments and wellness programs, and the Alchemy Bar, focusing on regional healing techniques. Culinary offerings will follow the “Eat With Six Senses” philosophy, featuring local produce and flavours. Dining options range from the main restaurant to a surf club and bar, with special experiences like destination dining and a cookery school.
The Beach Club and pool will serve as a vibrant hub for guests. For younger guests, Grow With Six Senses offers engaging activities that connect children to nature and wellness, including marine biology, yoga, and arts and crafts. Located a two-and-a-half-hour drive or a 20-minute flight from Puerto Vallarta and just 10 minutes from Chalacatepec International Airport, Six Senses Xala represents a new chapter in luxury, sustainability, and holistic wellness on Mexico’s Pacific Coast.
