A significant highlight is the 29,000-square-foot rooftop garden, crafted by James Corner of Field Operations and LDA Design. This expansive green space hosts 23,000 plants and 55 trees, creating an urban parkland oasis for residents. Grant Brooker, Head of Studio at Foster + Partners, envisioned these gardens as a multifunctional social space, offering residents spectacular views and a serene environment to engage in activities or simply relax amidst nature.
Prospect Place by Gehry Partners introduces a playful, innovative design to the Battersea Power Station development. With its first residences designed in the UK by renowned architects, the property features unique exterior winter garden pods and bespoke interior palettes that reflect the sunny disposition of California or a contemporary urban feel.
The rough-sawn oak veneer cabinetry in the kitchens, inspired by the architectural heritage of Los Angeles and the creative spirit of Frank Gehry’s studio, is particularly noteworthy. These kitchens blend functionality with artistic flair, featuring honed Silestone worktops, polished chrome Hansgrohe mixers, and high-quality Siemens appliances, reflecting the development’s commitment to luxury and innovation.
Beyond the residences, Battersea Power Station is set to become London’s newest ‘it’ destination.
