Scheduled for a grand opening in the summer of 2024, The St. Regis Longboat Key Resort and Residences is poised to redefine luxury living on Florida’s Gulf Coast. Spanning an impressive 18 acres and boasting 800 feet of pristine private beach, the resort invites guests to immerse themselves in a world of refined elegance and relaxation. With 168 guest rooms, including 26 suites featuring expansive terraces, the accommodations are designed to blend seamlessly with the natural beauty of Longboat Key, offering breathtaking views and an atmosphere of serene luxury.

Crafted by a trio of design powerhouses—HBA, SB Architects, and Marc-Michaels Interior Design—the resort is a prime example of architectural brilliance and aesthetic foresight. Drawing inspiration from Sarasota’s rich cultural tapestry and its storied past with the legendary circus impresario John Ringling, the design incorporates subtle theatrical elements, creating an ambience of sophistication and intrigue.

Rope-like chandeliers, an oval-shaped ballroom reminiscent of aerial rings, and a central feature evocative of a circus cage are just a few examples of thoughtful nods to the locale’s heritage. The buildings themselves, primarily composed of glass, boast clean lines and floor-to-ceiling windows that welcome the Florida sunshine and frame the stunning coastal vistas.

The resort’s commitment to an exceptional guest experience is further exemplified by its comprehensive amenities. Four distinct dining venues, ranging from casual beachside fare to exquisite gourmet restaurants, promise culinary delights for every palate. The dining experiences are set to redefine culinary excellence with establishments such as CW Prime, offering top-tier steak and seafood options, an authentic Italian restaurant for gourmet dining, the Pool Grill for laid-back meals, and the Tiki Bar, perfect for enjoying exotic cocktails with a view.

Meanwhile, the sprawling 20,000-square-foot St. Regis Spa offers a sanctuary of wellness and rejuvenation, complemented by a unique winding waterway and a saltwater lagoon that hosts an array of wildlife experiences, including encounters with stingrays and Galapagos turtles.

“The opening of The St. Regis Longboat Key Resort will redefine oceanside luxury and bespoke hospitality for the Gulf Coast,” said Winfred van Workum, general manager of The St. Regis Longboat Key Resort. “This highly anticipated property not only marks the largest development on Longboat Key in over 50 years but also stands as the only St. Regis opening in the U.S. in 2024. We eagerly anticipate welcoming our guests to our beachside sanctuary, offering an experience that is as unique as it is unforgettable.”

This development is particularly noteworthy as it stands as the largest property unveiling on Longboat Key in more than half a century, marking a new era of luxury in the region.
