Nestled amid the lush landscapes of Monterey, a spectacle of engineering and design was unveiled that promises to redefine the world of hypercars. As the sun dipped over the horizon and vintage Bugattis and Ferraris adorned the driveways of this year’s Monterey Car Week, a new era dawned with Automobili Pininfarina’s global premiere of the B95.

The B95 is not merely a car, but a design masterpiece, marrying a vision of classic racing heritage with the future’s pure-electric possibilities. This car is an homage to bygone beauty, exemplified by its open-topped, flowing bodywork, yet stands as a symbol of forward-looking automotive artistry.

Echoing the marque’s PURA design philosophy, the B95 strikes an equilibrium between iconic classic race cars and avant-garde design. Its full-width enveloping bodywork wraps around into the front fenders, giving it a muscular yet elegant stance. This car is not about flashy gimmicks but sophisticated details that offer depth and quality to its design. From the driver’s seat, the dashboard, upholstered in Tan Sustainable Luxury Leather, appears to merge into the exterior, in a sublime dialogue between inside and out. The seat designs, inspired by classic race cars, are finished in the same luxury leather, profiled to offer comfort and protection while perfectly cradling the driver and passenger.

Pronounced wheel arches serve as an epitome of power, integrated in a manner that adds extra shape and continuity between the arches and the bodyside. This effect creates controlled reflections from the bodywork, giving the car a multi-dimensional allure. The B95 is a feast for the eyes from any angle, but viewed from above, its PURA design DNA stands unparalleled. With no vehicle glasshouse, the design team has defined the cabin space with a surrounding loop that integrates the seats, adjustable aero screens, and the domes behind each passenger.

Paolo Dellachà, Chief Executive Officer, Automobili Pininfarina, said: “This is the most exciting chapter of the Automobili Pininfarina story so far – we’re taking another big step forward. The introduction of the B95 is the third of three essential building blocks this summer for our brand. First, we introduced the Battista Edizione Nino Farina, an exclusive celebration of Pininfarina’s racing son – also the first Formula 1 World Champion.

The world’s first electronically adjustable aero screens set the B95 apart. These clear, polycarbonate designs can be raised or lowered, offering a degree of customization that preserves the integrity of the car’s design. These screens draw inspiration from vintage fighter planes, executed with intricately engineered and exposed aluminum supports.

Further, owners can order bespoke helmets to match the B95’s specifications. This accessory isn’t just for show—it allows the driver to fully experience the hypercar’s performance, whether on a tranquil drive through the countryside or a full-throttle escapade on the track.

The B95 doesn’t just wow aesthetically—it astonishes under the hood. Sharing the same advanced powertrain as the Battista hyper GT, this car is tuned uniquely for a vehicle of its class. It rockets from 0-60 mph in under 2 seconds and boasts a top speed exceeding 300 km/h. Behind this prowess is a high-capacity 120 kWh lithium-ion battery generating a peak power of 1400 kW (1900 PS). It employs Full Torque Vectoring technology across five distinct drive modes to enable a tailored driving experience.

In the grand tradition of ultra-luxury cars, only ten B95s will be manufactured. Each will be meticulously curated, ensuring no two cars are identical. Paolo Dellachà, CEO of Automobili Pininfarina, fittingly described the unveiling of the B95 as “the most exciting chapter of the Automobili Pininfarina story so far.”
