In the realm of automotive grandeur, few vehicles boast the level of luxury associated with the Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II. Yet, SPOFEC, a business division of NOVITEC Group, dares to redefine opulence, taking the timeless British model to new heights of individualized elegance and performance.
The Phantom’s transformation begins with its wheels. Teaming up with American high-tech manufacturer Vossen, SPOFEC introduces the polished and brushed SP3 wheels, an imposing 24-inch display of design mastery. These tailor-made rims benefit from state-of-the-art forging and CNC machining technology, resulting in an extraordinary disc design with openings for brake cooling and venting, alongside a large centre cover to conceal the wheel bolts. Despite their substantial size, the rims are incredibly robust, even suitable for the extended-wheelbase Phantom EWB. High-performance tires measuring 295/30 R 24 adorn both front and rear axles, offering further proof of this unique blend of size and strength.
The SP3 wheels come in an array of finishes, with a choice of 72 colours and various surface treatments including painted, polished, or brushed. Such diversity means the Phantom’s aesthetics can be tailored to the individual tastes of its owner, pushing the boundaries of customization.
But the SPOFEC touch extends far beyond the wheels. To enhance the Phantom’s look and feel, the suspension tuning is subjected to a significant upgrade. A custom control module for the adaptive air suspension lowers the car’s ride height by approximately 40 millimetres up to a speed of 140 km/h, significantly enhancing its road presence. However, beyond this speed, the vehicle automatically reverts to its original level, offering a seamless balance between aesthetics and performance.
SPOFEC’s meticulous refinement further includes precise-fit aerodynamic-enhancement parts, all manufactured from carbon composite for a perfect fit and superior surface quality. The SPOFEC front fascia, integrated with a spoiler, replaces the standard bumper, lending the Phantom a bolder visage while reducing front-axle lift. Additionally, the SPOFEC rocker panels, available for both Phantom Series II wheelbases, feature raised flaps, emphasizing the vehicle’s stretched visual stance. The exterior modifications culminate with a single-piece rear fascia and a subtle spoiler on the trunk.
The design updates are not purely cosmetic but align with an impressive performance boost. The 6.75-litre twelve-cylinder engine of the Phantom Series II is treated to an N-TRONIC control module. This plug-and-play, processor-controlled device elevates the vehicle’s peak power by 84 kW / 114 hp and peak torque by 110 Nm, taking the total output to an awe-inspiring 504 kW / 685 hp and a peak torque of 1,010 Nm. The results are tangible; the SPOFEC-modified Phantom takes a mere 5.0 seconds to sprint from rest to 100 km/h, a feat the EWB variant achieves in just a fraction longer.
Yet, in spite of the increased power, the vehicle’s top speed remains electronically limited to 250 km/h, in deference to the high weight of the vehicle. The SPOFEC Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II redefines luxury, offering an unrivalled driving experience, melding bespoke aesthetic enhancements with a substantial performance boost.
