Aston Martin unveils a new Vantage road car

The 2024 Aston Martin Vantage is engineered to embody the essence of a front-engine, rear-wheel drive sports car, presenting a harmonious blend of high performance, advanced technology, and luxurious design. This iteration of the Vantage continues the storied lineage of Aston Martin while marking a significant evolution in its design and engineering.
At the heart of the new Vantage lies a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, meticulously handcrafted to deliver a peak output of 665PS (approximately 656 horsepower) and 800Nm (approximately 590 lb-ft) of torque. This marks a substantial increase in power and torque, attributing to a 30% gain in horsepower and a 15% rise in torque over its predecessor. These enhancements are achieved through extensive tuning by Aston Martin engineers, including modified cam profiles, optimized compression ratios, larger turbos, and an expanded cooling system to manage the increased thermal load.
The vehicle is equipped with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, optimized for rapid response and engaging driving dynamics. The transmission, coupled with a shortened Final Drive Ratio, is engineered to deliver exhilarating acceleration and responsive in-gear performance, propelling the Vantage from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds and achieving a top speed of 202 mph. A newly introduced Launch Control system ensures optimal torque deployment, enhancing the car’s acceleration capabilities.

Together with assertive styling, all-new interior and state-of-the-art infotainment, Vantage is world-class in every respect”.
The 2024 Vantage showcases an advanced chassis and suspension system designed to provide a definitive driving experience. Built around Aston Martin’s latest generation bonded aluminum structure, the vehicle benefits from increased torsional rigidity and a perfectly balanced 50:50 weight distribution. This foundation is complemented by state-of-the-art adaptive dampers and a re-engineered suspension setup, resulting in improved precision, balance, and feedback from the car. The Electronic Power Assisted Steering system (EPAS) has been refined to offer direct and granular feedback, further enhancing the driving experience.
From an aesthetic standpoint, the Vantage features a muscular and widened body, accentuated by a redesigned front grille and cooling intakes for improved airflow. The vehicle’s stance is further emphasized by 21” forged alloy wheels, available in various designs and finishes. The integration of advanced aerodynamics, including a new splitter and undertrays, contributes to the car’s high-speed stability and performance.
The interior of the Vantage reflects Aston Martin’s commitment to luxury and craftsmanship. An all-new interior architecture offers a blend of quality, style, and sophistication, with bespoke materials and a state-of-the-art infotainment system. The infotainment system, developed in-house, offers full online connectivity and integrates seamlessly with a new Aston Martin customer connectivity app, enhancing the ownership experience.
Competing against other high-performance sports cars like the Mercedes-AMG GT, Porsche 911, and Ferrari Roma, the Vantage distinguishes itself through its unique blend of performance, design, and luxury. While it may not surpass every rival in specific performance metrics, the Vantage offers an exclusive driving experience characterized by its brand’s heritage, design ethos, and engineering excellence.
