The Invictus Games is an international multi-sport event created by Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, in 2014. The games are specifically designed for wounded, injured, or sick armed services personnel and veterans from around the world. The word "Invictus" means "unconquered," symbolizing the resilience and determination of the participating athletes.

The Invictus Games aim to inspire and support those who have faced physical or mental challenges resulting from their service. Through adaptive sports, the event promotes their physical and emotional recovery, fostering camaraderie and a sense of community.

Competitions cover a range of sports, including wheelchair basketball, sitting volleyball, powerlifting, swimming, and track and field events. The event attracts participants from various nations, fostering a spirit of friendly competition and mutual understanding.
