This year, the Saxon watch manufactory is launching a new edition of the Lange 1 Time Zone, taking its sophistication to a new level with a 950 platinum case and a rhodium-coloured dial.

The Lange 1 Time Zone’s two-zone time display is an invaluable feature for international travellers and globally interconnected watch enthusiasts. Since its initial release in 2005, the Lange 1 Time Zone has stood out for its unique design, displaying not just the home time but also a selectable second-time zone. With the latest version, the technical innovation is enhanced with a 950-platinum case and solid silver rhodium-coloured dial, offering a timeless monochrome elegance.

As a symbol of innovative power and creativity, the new edition builds upon the watchmakers’ ability to combine intricate micromechanical engineering with an unblemished, ageless design. Maintaining the characteristic off-centre dial design of the LANGE 1 watch family, the timepiece integrates 24 reference cities into the display without affecting its harmony.

Switching between time zones is effortless, thanks to a corrector button that alters the city ring by one time zone in the easterly direction. Simultaneously, the hour hand advances, indicating the zone time of the selected city, further enhanced with a daylight-saving time indicator through a colour-coded arrow. The Lange 1 Time Zone comes with ring-shaped day/night indicators that show whether the respective time corresponds to the morning or evening hours. This distinct feature aids the user in quickly understanding the local time conditions of both home and zone times.

A specially designed synchronisation mechanism lets the user transfer zone time to the main dial, allowing a new primary time as home time. This function enhances the watch’s adaptability, catering to the wearer’s changing needs. In addition, the outsize date, connected with the main time, can be corrected with a dedicated button.

At the watch’s core, the manufacture calibre L141.1 guarantees a 72-hour power reserve.
