amfAR Gala Cannes
amfAR Gala Cannes, otherwise known as Cinema against AIDS is a world-renowned charitable fundraiser held each year since 1993 during the Cannes Film Festival and considered as the most exclusive ticket of the festival.
The black-tie event is celebrated for its celebrity guest list, fashionable auction, and its unrivalled success in securing funds for amFAR’s high-profile AIDS efforts and raising more than $100 million. The gala aims to raise money through auctioning items, as well as selling a limited number of tickets. amfAR galas have been held in cities like New York City, Milan, Los Angeles, São Paulo and Hong Kong.
amfAR has invested more than $517 million in its programs, spawning numerous significant advances in HIV prevention, treatment and care. These accomplishments have helped extend, improve, and save the lives of countless people around the world living with HIV/AIDS or vulnerable to HIV infection.
