Miss World
The Miss World Organization hosts the annual Miss World Finals, a competition that has grown into one of the world's biggest. Since its launch in 1951, the Miss World organisation has raised more than £250 million for children's charities that help disabled and underprivileged children.
During her reign, Miss World spends the year travelling around the world in support of worthy causes. Alongside the Miss World pageant, the Beauty with a Purpose event is celebrated during the activities prior to the competition. It awards the contestant with the most relevant and important charity project in her nation.
The winners of the Beauty with a Purpose event, labeled as a "fast track" competition, automatically make it into the quarter or semifinals of Miss World. Other fast track categories are Miss World Beach Beauty, Sports Challenge, Talent and Top Model, Miss World Beach Beauty and Miss World Sports.
