Royal Academy Exhibition
Royal Academy's Summer Exhibition is an annual celebration of art and artists, run without interruption since 1769. This is an open art exhibition held annually by the Royal Academy in Burlington House, Piccadilly in central London, England for a period of three months.
The exhibition includes paintings, prints, drawings, sculpture, architectural designs and models, and is the largest and most popular open exhibition in the United Kingdom.
The Royal Academy is run by the Royal Academicians, artists and architects elected by their peers in recognition of their exceptional work. It is home to Britain’s longest established art school, the RA Schools. The Summer Exhibition shows every imaginable medium – from prints, paintings, film and photography to sculpture, architectural works and more – by leading artists, Royal Academicians and household names as well as new and emerging talent.
