Véronique Leroy
Véronique Leroy is a fashion designer. She moved to Paris in 1984 to study fashion design at Studio Berçot, graduating in 1987. She was then hired by fashion designer Azzedine Alaïa as a stylist assistant. In parallel with this activity, she works freelance, creating different collections for which she has won numerous prizes such as the Golden Canette in Brussels or the Prix Courtelle.
In 1989 she curated Martine Sitbon as a stylist assistant. In 1991, she created her own fashion house, located in Paris. That same year, she presents her first eponymous collection at Paris Fashion Week.
Her creations are characterized by an accentuation of body shapes in a sexy attitude. Since 2000, she has been a consultant for the Léonard House, and in 2007, she created a summer collection for the 3 Swiss, which was called "Travel Diary". Véronique Leroy has twice received a grant from the National Association for the Development of the Fashion Arts.
