The unveiling of the Antarctique Rattrapante Gold Dust SHH Edition by Czapek & Cie coincided with the grand opening of Sincere Fine Watches’ new concept boutique, SHH, in Kuala Lumpur, adding exclusivity to the event. This boutique, spread over a two-story duplex, uniquely combines the world of high-end watchmaking with fine dining, offering a ground-floor display of timekeeping masterpieces and an upper-level culinary experience curated by renowned chefs.

To mark the opening of this distinctive boutique, Czapek & Cie, in collaboration with Sincere Fine Watches, introduced the Antarctique Rattrapante Gold Dust SHH Edition. This limited edition, comprising only 25 pieces, enriches the Antarctique collection, which is celebrated for its refined design and complex mechanics. This particular model features a split-second mono-pusher chronograph, showcasing its intricate mechanism on the dial side, a testament to advanced horological engineering.

The design of the Antarctique Rattrapante Gold Dust SHH Edition is distinguished by its use of solid 18-carat 5N rose gold in the chronograph counters and the peripheral minutes ring. This choice in materials creates a striking contrast with the movement’s grey and silver hues and mirrors the luxurious ambiance of the SHH boutique, making the watch a symbol of the boutique’s inventive and sophisticated style.

The watch’s signature feature, a clamp mechanism in the split-second chronograph, allows for the pausing and catching up of one of the chrono wheels, a feat of intricate design and function.

At the core of the Antarctique Rattrapante is the SHX6 calibre, developed in collaboration with Chronode. This double column-wheel chronograph movement embodies a perfect blend of technical precision and visual elegance. The dial reveals a tripod bridge, a crucial element of the watch’s structure, holding down a patented satellite minute train and the split-second mechanism. The dial’s symmetrical arrangement, featuring a minute totalizer and small seconds display, reflects the brand’s commitment to visual harmony and mechanical sophistication.

This limited edition timepiece, inspired by the legacy of François Czapek’s 19th-century watchmaking, is complemented by Czapek & Cie’s signature integrated bracelet and an additional blue rubber strap, offering both versatility and style.
