H. Moser & Cie. recently unveiled a new pinnacle of watchmaking artistry: the Streamliner Tourbillon Wyoming Jade. This limited edition timepiece, restricted to just 100 pieces, is a symphony in mineral, marrying the natural beauty of jade with the refined sophistication of modern horology.

At the heart of this exquisite model lies the jade dial, sourced from the pristine lands of Wyoming, USA. The stone is 100% natural, and untreated to maintain its raw, authentic allure. Each jade dial is unique, featuring subtle natural markings and shades, reflecting its immaculate purity and exceptional quality. The process of creating these dials involves a blend of traditional craftsmanship and advanced technology.

It starts with the careful selection of the raw jade, chosen for its inherent beauty and quality. Precision CNC technology, used in a liquid environment, slices the jade to a thickness of just 1 to 1.2 mm. These slices are then meticulously positioned, milled, and hand-polished to accentuate the stone’s natural brilliance while maintaining its uniform structure.

The Streamliner Tourbillon Wyoming Jade, set in red gold, showcases the decorative stone with an elegance that epitomizes luxury and timeless design. The dial, free from any logo and adorned with just three indices, directs full attention to the one-minute flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock. This artistic approach allows the jade’s splendour to shine through, creating a watch that transcends time.

The dial-making process is intricate, with each jade dial glued onto a brass base. A thin layer of varnish is applied to the back of the dial to enhance the jade’s transparency and maintain the aesthetic integrity of the stone. The Wyoming jade selected by H. Moser & Cie. boasts an intense, concentrated olive tone, adding depth and character to the watch.

The absence of a logo on the dial enhances the stone’s aesthetic power, allowing the one-minute flying tourbillon to take centre stage. Powering this masterpiece is the automatic HMC 804 calibre, equipped with a double hairspring designed and produced by Precision Engineering AG, H. Moser & Cie.’s sister company. This innovative mechanism corrects the movement of the point of gravity on each spring, reducing friction and improving accuracy and isochronism.

Limited to a mere 100 pieces, this watch has quickly become a coveted item among collectors and enthusiasts alike, its jade dial a unique signature that marries the raw beauty of nature with the pinnacle of watchmaking craft.
