In a recent interview with Architectural Digest, it was suggested that in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, ‘professionally managed private villas will be among the safest accommodation options globally’ and the staff at Villa Agave plan to offer this through: professional cleaning services, eco-friendly sanitiser and protection kits for guests, which include complimentary face masks and antibacterial tissues.

Villa staff have been instructed to complete consistent hygiene checks whilst maintaining social distancing but guests also have the option to limit or request a staff-free environment to ensure complete peace-of-mind during their stay.

With secluded, sandy beaches and local restaurants preparing traditional cuisine just a short walk from the estate, the temptation of restaurant dining can be easily satisfied; with a sunset view of Porto Rafti included.

This small fishing village offers contemporary dining luxuries in an exquisite location: by night, try the best catch of the day in one of Porto Rafti’s rooftop restaurants. Locally-prepared meats and fish can also be paired with wine produced in the vineyards in nearby towns for an authentic culinary experience.

By day, the possibilities of exploring the Aegean Sea are endless. For adrenaline-seekers, head out on the coast for scuba diving and snorkelling in the ocean, and for those searching for a laid-back getaway, sunbathing on the sands of Paralia Avlaki beach is only a short walk from the villa grounds.

The town of Porto Rafti stretches amphitheatrically around the Rafti Bay, a bay of the Aegean Sea, on the east coast of the Attica peninsula. It is surrounded by pine-cladded hills, the tallest of which is Merenta, 613 m above sea level. Porto Rafti is nowadays a famous seaside resort, with free beaches at the locations of St Spyridon, Erotospilia and Avlaki, and an organized municipal beach at Avlaki.
