The Maybourne Hotel Group is ushering in a new era of discreet luxury and remarkable design with the announcement of their newest venture, The Emory Hotel, set to open in London in the winter of 2023. The forthcoming hotel, a towering modern architectural marvel, is the brainchild of the late Richard Rogers and Ivan Harbour of the esteemed architectural firm RSHP. As the group’s fourth hotel in the capital, and the sixth in their international portfolio, The Emory is set to redefine the landscape of London’s premium hospitality scene.

Strategically located at the intersection of Knightsbridge and Old Barrack Yard, The Emory nestles itself in an environment where the high-energy buzz of fashionable Knightsbridge intertwines with the tranquil streets of residential Belgravia. The all-suite hotel is poised to afford guests the very best of life in the capital, and will feature a discreet, private entrance, offering a gateway to understated luxury.

At the core of The Emory’s design is an innovative ‘sails’ structure that will rise above the treetops of Hyde Park, infusing London’s skyline with a new iconic landmark. The hotel will comprise 60 light-filled, extraordinary suites spread across nine floors, each one reflecting the aesthetic finesse of world-class interior designers.

The lineup of design mavens includes the likes of Alexandra Champalimaud, André Fu, Pierre Yves Rochon, Rémi Tessier, and Patricia Urquiola. Their individual masterstrokes will be unified by exquisite craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail. Completing the grandeur of The Emory, the spectacular Rigby & Rigby designed penthouse will offer guests a world of privacy encapsulated within an architectural wonder.

But the suites and the penthouse are not the only jewels in The Emory’s crown. The rooftop, with its sweeping 360-degree view of the capital, will be a private sanctuary, dedicated exclusively to the hotel’s guests, exemplifying the property’s commitment to exclusivity and privacy.

The Emory will also break new ground in the culinary domain, with world-renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten bringing his much-lauded ABC concept to London. Rooted in a philosophy of fresh, local, and conscious cuisine, the concept is set to introduce Londoners and guests to a gastronomic experience that has been celebrated in Manhattan.

A significant part of The Emory’s offering lies beneath the ground. A newly crafted wellness space, complete with a 22-meter pool, is set to span four floors, offering a rejuvenating retreat to the guests of The Emory.

At the helm of The Emory’s operations will be the acclaimed hotelier Knut Wylde, who will manage the new hotel while maintaining his current role as the General Manager of The Berkeley. This simultaneous responsibility will ensure the blend of The Maybourne Hotel Group’s distinct brand of luxury into The Emory.
