Undercover temporarily halts womenswear runway shows to focus on menswear

Undercover, the brand run by Jun Takahashi, has officially announced on social media that it will cease its womenswear runway shows for the time being in order to concentrate on menswear. Share

The surprise announcement came on March 2nd after having presented the womenswear a/w 2018 collection “we are infinite”, which is set to be the last womenswear runway show for the time being.

Jun Takahashi took to Undercover’s social media channels to make the announcement, saying: “Jun here. The show of our women’s latest collection, “we are infinite” is done. A big decision was made and it will be the last one before focusing on men’s runway shows for upcoming seasons for a while. (Of course, I will keep making womenswear collections and presenting it in a unique but different way). I am very much looking forward to it! Hope you feel the same way.”

The latest menswear collections are set to be presented in June during Paris Men’s Fashion Week, and will serve as a follow up to the January menswear joint show with Takahiro Miyashita the Soloist in Florence, almost ten years after the label’s first men’s show.
