In 1998 at the age of 31, Gordon set up his first wholly owned restaurant Gordon Ramsay, in Chelsea. Combining an intimate ambience and exquisite cuisine.
By 2001 the restaurant had gained three Michelin stars which it retains today. Clare Smyth MBE, was appointed to the position of Chef Patron in January 2007 and remains the only female chef in the UK to hold this accolade. Similar to his predecessor Clare Smyth, now Consultant Chef for Gordon Ramsay Group, Head Chef Matt Abe shares the drive and constant pursuit of perfection in every aspect of the job.
