Vista Lago Residences is a gated community of 18 individually designed sustainable villas situated in the 200-hectare country club estate of Real de La Quinta, also gated. Surrounded by magnificent countryside which borders a UNESCO Biosphere reserve, the villas are just 15 minutes from Marbella. Real de La Quinta is a new landmark residential country club resort where nature and the modern world coexist in perfect harmony. The resort occupies 200 hectares of mountainside estate set in the idyllic foothills of the Sierra de las Nieves. Vista Lago Residences occupies 6.5 hectares of this paradise, on the highest villa plot in the resort.

Vista Lago Residences is different from any other development built in Southern Europe, and all of the 18 villas, as well as the furniture and fittings in them, are different from each other. The commonality they share, aside from the marvellous views, is that all are of the highest standard of construction and design and all display a level of innovation and creativity rarely found in residential developments.

All villas have large terraces, ample gardens, true Infinity pools and bespoke spaces that can be used for entertainment rooms, gyms and home offices. The multi-use basements can be customised to meet individual requirements.

Everything has been designed around the view. Not just the development as a whole, but each villa is orientated perfectly to maximise views. Inside each villa, nothing stands in the way of the view. Floor-to-ceiling windows slide back into the wall, to bring the living area out into the terrace. Window frames are very thin, so even when closed there is hardly any barrier between inside and out.

In 2019 UDesign Architect Studio won “Best Architecture in Europe” at the International Property Awards for the design of Villa Alcuzcuz, also developed by BRIGHT. The exceptional, transformative design that they have created for Vista Lago has turned a development of luxury villas into a world class work of architectural & interior design.

For the last 13 years, UDesign have created some of the best addresses in the world, from mountain retreats in Verbier, Switzerland, to listed buildings in London’s Belgravia and magnificent estates in Marbella’s La Zagaleta.

In addition to their team of award-winning architects, UDesign also produce exclusive bespoke furniture from their own factory which elevates their projects to exceptional standards, rarely seen in residential developments.

The Marbella-based architectural firm González & Jacobson, now celebrating their 25th anniversary in business, are the architects working in collaboration with UDesign on the technical development and construction of Vista Lago Residences.

Vista Lago Residences is in the process of obtaining BREEAM certification, which aims to improve the level of building sustainability by promoting the best practices and technologies available on the market. In fact, Real de La Quinta, in which Vista Lago Residences is located, was the first urban development project in Spain certified by BREEAM.
