Architecture
London-based architectural practice PLP has married traditional skills with a contemporary vision, creating a modern building with two grand elevations, one on Stanhope Gate and the other on Curzon Street, which runs parallel.
Mayfair Park Residences’ Stanhope Gate elevation, which is composed of three frontages, is a considered mixture of light and dark, old and new. The two listed Georgian façades, one built from brick painted black and the other from Portland stone, have been carefully restored, retaining their classic proportions and features. These two traditional façades are juxtaposed by a third which is contemporary in design and beautifully crafted out of white travertine.
Mayfair Park Residences’ Curzon Street façade is a reflection of the modern façade on Stanhope Gate, its series of faceted black stone and white travertine frontages arc along the street’s gentle curve towards Hyde Park. This façade has been designed in such a way as to grant many of the apartments stunning views of Hyde Park from the floor to ceiling windows.
