The ‘Happy Sport’ watch by Chopard returns with its original pebble bracelet

Swiss watchmaker Chopard has presented a new version of its iconic "Happy Sport," a sophisticated, subtle watch, featuring its original pebble bracelet. Share

Baselworld 2019, which ended Tuesday, saw Chopard reveal the latest version of its “Happy Sport” watch. This new timepiece stands out for the shape of its oval casing and its bracelet, which is none other than a flexible version of the original pebble bracelet that outlined the contours of the first watch in the 1993 collection. Although made from steel, the bracelet is flexible enough to perfectly follow the contours of the wrist, with a suppleness achieved through the design of the pebble-like polished, rounded links.

The distinctive features of the “Happy Sport” watch include the seven moving diamonds that seem to dance beneath the dial, situated between two sapphire crystals, the hands, the Roman numerals and the gold- or rhodium-plated indexes, which together adorn a silver dial with navy blue details.

The “Happy Sport Oval” watch is powered by an automatic caliber with hour, minute and second functions and has a power reserve of 42 hours. Water-resistant at up to 30 meters, the model is available in 18-carat rosegold or stainless steel with a polished bezel or bezel set with diamonds.
