Chalet Spa Bali is on the Southern tip of the island of Bali in Uluwatu. The closest airport to the estate is Bali Denpasar, 22km away or a 50 minute transfer by car. The estate has uninterrupted views over Nyang Nyang beach and the Indian Ocean. The property has been created by an internationally recognized architect and a leading interior designer from Singapore.
Where possible, furnishings have been made by traditional Balinese and Indonesian craftsmen using local wood. Contemporary Balinese and Indonesian features are combined with large open spaces and luscious gardens, and our team of more than 25 service staff are there to ensure that all our guests enjoy the experience of a lifetime.
Chalet Spa Bali is immersed in nature with carp and turtles swimming in ponds, an aviary rich with tropical birds and a friendly iguana called Rex. The estate overlooks the beautiful soft sands of Nyang Nyang beach. Accessed via a private footpath, this beach of white sand is practically deserted other than for a few people walking and expert surfers. Relaxing at Chalet Spa Bali couldn’t be easier, with a magnificent 21m clifftop infinity pool offering uninterrupted views of the Indian ocean.
Sun loungers around the pool entice you to sit back and enjoy the peace and sea views. There are plenty of areas to sit down and relax, as well as a central bar which provides a lovely relaxing space to get together to relax with family and friends or for a mocktail or cocktail or two as the sun sets.
The estate sleeps 16 guests in sumptuous surroundings, comprised of four independent villas and four large suites, all with private gardens and indoor/outdoor bathrooms, some with outdoor stone marble bathtubs. A fully-equipped gym, a unique Spa Villa for treatments, a substantial indoor lounge and a conference room ideal for corporate retreats.
The estate has a ping pong table, billiards room, and range of games. There is a large multi-media lounge with LED screen with Apple T.V, and PlayStation. There is a fully integrated BOSE speaker system throughout the property which uses a SONOS system giving access to Spotify, Deezer and a variety of music accessible through Sound Touch. There are a variety of chill out zones across 2 levels of terraces with views over the estate. A bar is located in the center of the lower gardens and there are ponds and waterfalls all over the estate stocked with Koi carp and turtles.
Bali is home to many cultures. The southernmost tip of Bali was an ancient teak forest, cleared by the Japanese in the 1940’s. Chalet Spa Bali is a cliff top estate located in Uluwatu on this Southern tip of Bali. The name Uluwatu comes from Ulu meaning ‘land’s end’ and watu meaning ‘rock’. The land was acquired in 2003, and immediately seemed a perfect place to call home for any globe-trotting family. The design of the estate has been inspired by local designs and traditions, using the expert craftsmen of Bali and Java, where part of the owner’s family originate.
