Henley Royal Regatta

Henley Royal Regatta is undoubtedly the best-known regatta in the world, held in high regard and with affection by rowers – both active and retired. Founded in 1839, it is famous both as a great sporting event and as a social occasion. People travel from all over the world to attend, either as competitors or as spectators.

This internationally acclaimed rowing event is held annually on the River Thames by the town of Henley-on-Thames, England. The most prestigious event at the regatta is the Grand Challenge Cup for Men's Eights, which has been awarded since the regatta was first staged.
