ICC World Test Championship
The ICC World Test Championship is a league competition for Test cricket run by the International Cricket Council (ICC), and is the premier championship for Test cricket. ICC World Test Championship is keeping in line with ICC's goal of having one pinnacle tournament for each of the three formats of international cricket.
The tournament will be played over a cycle of two years. Nine full members of ICC will participate in the tournament. The tournament will be played over two years. Each team are scheduled to play six other opponents, three at home and three away.
Each series will consist of two to five Test matches. Therefore, all participants will not play the same number of Tests, but will play the same number of series. Each match is scheduled for a duration of five days.
