La Bâtie
The Bâtie-Festival de Genève is a multidisciplinary festival (music, dance, theater and performance) made up of discoveries and creations. It brings together live shows, choreographies, concerts and Dj's, with a wide range of national and international artists.
Each year in September, the public has 16 days to discover the most exciting current trends in more than twenty places in Geneva, neighboring France and the canton of Vaud and compare their personal vision of the world with those proposed by the invited artists.
Each year for over four decades, the festival has operated different places in the city, such as theaters, concert halls, but also more unusual places such as museums, university auditoriums and some public spaces.
The first edition of this Pop Estival was organized in 1973 by the Pop Show & Co. association composed by members of the Geneva group Eruption: René Husser, Jary Joe, Michel Pasquier, and its president Philippe Castello at Bois de la Bâtie.
