Alongside interpersonal abilities, you’ll hone several transferable skills that are important for your career development. We find the most vital skill for all HR professionals is a fundamental understanding of the business sector in which they work. This is especially true of the luxury industry, where company culture and values are greatly significant – so you’ll need to have some familiarity with the world of luxury.
We take people from a range of academic disciplines. But whatever your degree subject, you must have developed strong analytical and conceptual skills during your studies. Working in HR requires superior judgement, client focus, a proactive approach and teamwork – and we’ll help you develop your skills in this area further.
Dealing with a wide range of people and needs will advance your negotiation and persuasion skills, too, so you’ll be ready to handle many different situations. Finally, as working closely with people from all around the world is normal practice, we’ll expect you to build on your appreciation of diverse global cultures.
