Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair
Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair is a very recent wine domaine since it was created at the beginning of 2000 by Viscount Louis-Michel Liger-Belair, engineer in agriculture and oenologist, with the aim of taking over the exploitation of the few vines which remained in the possession of his family.
Nevertheless, Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair is actually a very old domaine as it takes over 200 years of family tradition in the service of the vineyard, Burgundy wine in general and Vosne-Romanée in particular.
In 2006, Viscount rents 5.5 hectares more, including a large plot of Echezeaux, Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Suchots, Les Petits Monts and Les Brûlées, Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Cras, Vosne-Romanée and Nuits- Saint Georges. Now with his wife, Constance and their three children Henry (2002), Brune (2003) and Pia (2006), he exploits 8.7 hectares of vineyards Vosne-Romanée, Nuits-Saint-Georges and Flagey-Echezeaux.
