Chaumet

Parisian jeweller since 1780, Chaumet quickly became official jeweller to Empress Joséphine. The history of the Maison has been intertwined with the History of France ever since then. For over two centuries, Maison Chaumethas been loyal to its tradition as the Jeweller of Emotions, through exceptional tiaras and bridal sets, and authentic declarations of love.

The private mansion at 12, place Vendôme, houses the flagship boutique, the historic Salons and the High Jewellery workshop. Chaumet’s founder was the first of the Parisian jewelers to settle on the Place Vendôme, at the current address of the Ritz. Over the decades, the House of Chaumet has designed hundreds of items of jewellery or original editions that have acquired heritage or historical status.

From the 1970s, the house has been involved in an initiative to give its pieces their true worth in terms of aesthetic and historical value. This aim came to fruition with the creation of a museum in 1980 under the impetus of Béatrice de Plinval.
