Luz Camino
Luz Camino is an independent jeweler of Spanish dissent, known for her innovative approach to jewelry design using a variety of materials and gems, from precious gems to simple stones.
The introvert jeweler draws inspiration from nature, as she enjoys to watch the stars and dream about a peaceful world. One of her most famous creations is the Fragmented Africa bracelet that depicts Africa's map of gold, whilst sapphires mark an area in Kenya with the largest camp of refugees from Somalia.
Luz Camino often experiments with innovative ways to achieve her esthetic ideals whilst unconventional, odd and obscure materials often crop up in her designs. Her jewelry creations have a breadth of styles and a command of techniques like few others. Luz Camino's work is displayed in the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris, London's Victoria & Albert Museum and New York Museum of Arts and Design.
