Yiqing Yin

Born in Beijing in 1985, Yiqing Yin left China at the age of four for France and then Australia. From one country to another, his clothes have often served as landmarks. Thus Yiqing Yin imagines a garment that protects and reinforces, both second skin and soft shell. Sensing the dynamic capabilities of the fold, she imagines structures that are never frozen, volumes in motion.

She sculpts the emptiness around the body with, as a guideline, the search for balances and points of rupture between the floating zones and the sculpted zones.

Thanks to the modernization of the smocking technique and the abolition of any hierarchy of construction, she seeks out, experimenting with the fall of the garment, in search of fluid lines. It thus models fuzzy volumes with dizzying architecture.

A true creative laboratory, Yiqing Yin is regularly asked to participate in the writing of various projects. Costume design, artistic direction, development of limited edition products and exhibitions are all areas where the exceptional know-how of the house can be expressed.
