In 1980, the menswear line was launched. That same year, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac opened a perfume department within his house and introduced a first fragrance called 'Première'. In 1985, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac was the first fashion designer to be invited to show at the Museum of Modern Art in Troyes. In 1986, an exhibition was dedicated to the Institute of Technology of New York, followed by another exhibition in his honor called "Antikörper" in 1988, at Vienna's Academy of Applied Arts, where he taught fashion from 1985.
